Therapist website design by Proxima

We're Proxima, an independent web design studio in East London, and we build websites for therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists in private practice. Neda designs and builds every site herself, so the person on your first call is the person who builds your website and answers your emails after launch.

What every site includes

What every website for therapists Includes

Every website we build for a therapist is designed to be calm and easy to read on a phone. It sets out who you are, how you are qualified and how a client can contact you, and it follows the rules on how therapy is advertised.

  • Your registration, easy to check

Your membership and your register entry are shown on the pages clients read, with a link through to the register itself.

  • Enquiry forms that ask for less

A short form sent over a secure connection, which asks only what you need for a first reply and links to your privacy notice.

    • Where the room is and how to get there
    • Access and waiting arrangements

    Online and in person sessions

A client can see straight away whether you work in a room, online or both, and what each kind of session involves.

  • Wording that stays within the rules

We keep the wording careful, so your pages describe your work without promising outcomes.

  • Fees and terms on one page

Your fees, session length and cancellation terms are set out together, so a client knows them before the first session.

  • Pages you can update yourself

The site is built on a visual editor, and Neda shows you how it works at launch, so a new fee or a note about availability is a change you can make.

Kinds of therapy we design websites for: Counselling, Psychotherapy, Couples therapy, Family therapy, Child and adolescent therapy, Clinical psychology, Counselling psychology, Trauma therapy, Online therapy, Clinical supervision.

Who we design for

Websites for counsellors and Psychotherapists

  • Hands sketching a website wireframe in pen on white paper, with a few boxes picked out in red

    Planning your pages

We plan the site around the questions people ask before they contact a therapist: who you are, how you work, what it costs and how to start.

  • A designer working at a laptop with a drawing tablet, colour swatches and marker pens spread across the desk

A design made for your practice

Each site is designed for the practice it belongs to, with room to read and a layout that works as well on a phone as it does on a laptop.

  • Hands writing notes in a notebook beside a laptop, a tablet, a coffee and a few printed photographs

    Website copy

If you would like help with the words, your proposal can include copy for each page, written with you and checked against your professional body's rules on advertising.

  • A phone showing a calendar beside a pair of glasses and earbuds on a warm wooden desk

    Enquiries and booking

Every site has a short enquiry form sent over a secure connection, and it can link to the booking system you already use.

  • A laptop showing a dashboard of visitor charts and a world map, in a bright office with plants

    SEO for therapists

Every site is set up for search at launch. Monthly SEO for therapists can add keyword tracking, page improvements, your Google Business Profile and reporting. We won't promise first page rankings, because nobody can.

  • An open notebook and pen in front of a laptop, with a mug and a jar of flowers on a table by a window

    Care after launch

You can edit the site yourself in the visual editor. If you would rather not, an optional care plan covers security monitoring, performance checks and small updates.

How a project runs

How your therapy website is planned and Built

Your client portal shows which stage the project has reached, and you approve each stage before the next one begins.

We talk by video about your practice, the clients you see and the way you work. If you already have a website, Neda looks at it before the call.

You receive a proposal with the scope, the timeline, what you will own and a fixed price. Nothing is added to it later without your agreement.

  3. In your portal

    Design

Neda designs the pages, and you comment on them at phone, tablet and desktop sizes in your own client portal before approving each stage.

  4. Build

The site is built on a visual editor with your registration details, your fees and your enquiry form in place, and you can follow its progress in the portal.

  5. Yours to keep

    Launch and walkthrough

We run the launch checks, redirect the pages of any old site and walk you through the editor. Monthly SEO and care plans are there if you want them, and the site is yours whenever you choose to take it.

  • Every therapist website at Proxima is quoted on enquiry, so the figure matches the site your practice needs. After a free discovery call you get a written proposal with the scope, the timeline, what you own at the end and a fixed price, and nothing is added to it later without your agreement. Our guide to what a website costs in the UK covers the running costs to budget for after launch.

  • Neda Yavari, who founded Proxima and runs it on her own. She designs and builds your website herself, so the person on your first call is the person who builds the site and answers your emails after launch. There are no account managers in between, and calls run by video or phone.

  • Yes. We design websites for counsellors, psychotherapists, practitioner psychologists, couples and family therapists, therapists who work online, and small therapy clinics with several practitioners. Counselling website design follows the same process as any other therapist website, and the pages are planned around how you see clients.

  • Yes. Counsellor, psychotherapist and therapist are not protected titles in the UK, so a register entry is how a client can check who they are booking with. The BACP, UKCP and NCPS registers are accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, which asks the people on them to display its Quality Mark when they advertise, and we link your profile to your entry on the register. Under the CAP Code a site may only show a quality mark or logo the practitioner is authorised to use, so we only add the ones you hold. For psychologists, titles such as clinical psychologist and counselling psychologist are protected and need HCPC registration, so your title is used exactly as it appears on the HCPC Register.

  • A message from someone asking about therapy can reveal something about their health, and the ICO treats information about a person's health as special category data, which needs extra care. We run the whole site over HTTPS, keep the enquiry form short so it asks only what you need for a first reply, and link it to your privacy notice. Since June 2026 the Data (Use and Access) Act has also required a clear way for people to make a data protection complaint, and the site can carry a page for that. Your privacy notice and the lawful basis you rely on remain yours to confirm.

  • Yes. The CAP Code applies to your own website, so we keep the wording careful: your pages describe how you work and what a client can expect, without promising results, and they only show the registration marks you hold. We don't add client testimonials, which the UKCP code asks registrants not to use in advertising. Where a page names a condition or says anything about outcomes, we flag it for you to confirm before launch, as you remain responsible for what your site says.

  • Yes. Every site is set up for search at launch, with a page for each service you offer and your location stated clearly, so the site can appear when someone searches for a therapist in your area. Monthly SEO for therapists is optional and covers keyword tracking, page improvements, your Google Business Profile, articles on the questions clients ask, and reporting. We won't promise first page rankings, because nobody can promise them.

  • Yes. The site can link to the booking system you already use, and it explains clearly whether you see clients in a room, online or both, and what an online session involves. A short enquiry form is there for clients who would rather write first.

  • Your own website works alongside any directory listings you keep. It is the one place where you can explain your approach in full, it is the page your directory profile and your Google Business Profile can link to, and with SEO set up it can appear in search results in its own right. How many enquiries come through it depends on your area and your searches, so we won't put a figure on it.

  • Through your own client portal. It shows every stage of the project, lets you comment on the designs at phone, tablet and desktop sizes, and records your approval of each stage. Your files live there too, and you get an email when something needs you. You can still call or email Neda whenever you like.

  • Yes. Anything on your current site worth keeping is brought across, every old page address is redirected to its new page, and rankings are checked after launch. Our website redesign service explains how a redesign runs.

  • Yes. The site is built on a visual editor, so your fees, availability and practitioner profiles can be changed without a developer. You get a walkthrough of the new site at launch, and an optional care plan covers small updates if you would rather not make them yourself.

  • Yes. The website, the domain and the content belong to your practice, and you can take full ownership whenever you choose with no requirement to keep working with us. Monthly plans after launch are optional.
